Yes. ESSE Education is recognised and approved by AUSactive. Our graduates can teach confidently across Australia and internationally, in studios, gyms, and boutique spaces.

We’re not currently an RTO, and that choice is deliberate. Pilates education in Australia and internationally is largely unregulated, meaning there is no central authority overseeing consistency, safety, or educational quality. In this landscape, the credibility of a qualification is defined less by its title and more by the organisations that stand behind it. Recognition matters more than regulation.

Yes. Our face-to-face practical days are a key part of your education. This experiences allow you to practise, refine, and grow in a supportive environment before stepping into teaching roles.

We know observation hours can feel stressful to organise and can be a financial stress. That’s why we offer access to our comprehensive online class library, allowing you to observe real teaching from our in house ESSE studio trainers, in an accessible and supportive way.

To get the most from your learning experience, we recommend setting aside approximately 3–4 hours per week for independent study, in addition to attending your weekly 1.5–2 hour live mentoring session.
This time allows you to comfortably work through your online learning, complete module quizzes, participate in mentoring, develop your two required class plans, and progressively prepare for your practical teaching assessments.

All theory content is delivered online, allowing you to learn in your own time. Practical training is completed face-to-face to support hands-on learning, connection, and confidence.

Observation is also a core part of our approach, with access to real studio teaching and our exclusive online class library.
